Results from the night at Indian Wells: Monfils advances, Rinderknech falls in three sets
After Benjamin Bonzi's defeat at the Indian Wells Masters 1000, there were still four French players competing on the courts.
Gaël Monfils delivered a solid performance to win in 1 hour and 25 minutes against Jan-Lennard Struff with a score of 6-4, 6-4.
Hugo Gaston also advanced, defeating Luciano Darderi in two sets, 6-3, 6-3.
Arthur Rinderknech, however, was eliminated by Nuno Borges.
After losing the first set 6-1, he managed to bounce back and win the second set 7-5.
Unfortunately for him, he collapsed in the third set, losing it 6-2.
Quentin Halys was facing Pablo Carreno Busta, but the match could not be completed due to rain at Indian Wells.
He is in a strong position, leading 6-3, 4-1, with his serve to follow.
Monfils will face Sebastian Korda, and Hugo Gaston will play against Hubert Hurkacz.
