Rinderknech, Defeated by Majchrzak, Exits in Wimbledon’s Third Round
Arthur Rinderknech’s journey at Wimbledon has come to an end.
After securing victories against Alexander Zverev and Cristian Garin—each match spanning two days—the Frenchman was set to face world No. 109 Kamil Majchrzak today.
The Polish player, who had never won a match at Wimbledon before this 2025 edition, had previously defeated Matteo Berrettini and Ethan Quinn. He claimed victory in straight sets (6-3, 7-6, 7-6) in this third-round clash.
Rinderknech may rue missing a set point in the final tiebreak, failing to unsettle his opponent.
For the first time in his career, Majchrzak advances to the round of 16 at a Grand Slam, where he will face the winner of the match between Nuno Borges and Karen Khachanov.
