Royer, Lucky Loser, Wins His First Round in Basel Against Collignon
After losing to Kamil Majchrzak this Sunday in the final round of qualifying for the Basel tournament, Valentin Royer was fortunate to be entered into the main draw due to Arthur Rinderknech's last-minute withdrawal.
The Frenchman faced Raphaël Collignon, an opponent in rather good form. But he did not let himself be caught off guard by events and won with a score of 6-4, 7-6.
In the next round, Royer will face either Marcos Giron or Denis Shapovalov.
