Ruud explains the nasal strip he wears in Dallas: "A gadget I bought on a weird page"
Casper Ruud is in the semi-finals of the ATP 500 in Dallas, where he will face Jaume Munar this Saturday.
Since the start of the week, the Norwegian has been spotted with a nasal strip, as Carlos Alcaraz was this week in Rotterdam, affected by a cold.
In a press conference, Ruud explained how this accessory seems to give him success: "It's an interesting gadget that I bought online, not on eBay, but on a weird Chinese page.
I bought it to use while I sleep, because when I'm in Norway during the winter, I wake up with a blocked nose. I always have to blow my nose a lot in the morning.
It works well, I was surprised by that. I said to myself: 'Why don't you try having it on during training? I feel I'm breathing better, it gives me a few percent more oxygen in my nose.
It may be a placebo, but it works for me. I've played well with it, so why not keep doing it?".
