An excellent clay-court player, Casper Ruud has won almost all his titles on ochre since the start of his career (eleven out of twelve).
At ease on the surface, the Norwegian, currently ranked 5th in the world, has already confirmed his attendance at the ATP 250 Geneva tournament, to be held in Switzerland in May.
On its website, the tournament organization is delighted to welcome Ruud to its 2024 edition.
"Three-time winner of the Gonet Geneva Open, Casper Ruud will be back in Geneva for the tournament's tenth anniversary. The Norwegian has confirmed his presence for the 2025 edition, which will take place from May 17 to 24 on the courts of the Tennis Club de Genève, in the enchanting Parc des Eaux-Vives.
Winner of the 2021, 2022 and 2024 titles, Casper Ruud (26) has forged a special relationship with the Gonet Geneva Open. The Norwegian showed unfailing determination on the Parc des Eaux-Vives central court, which enabled him to turn around some critical situations.
In the 2022 final, Portugal's Joao Sousa served out the match at 5-4 in the third set. Last year, he saved a match point in the semi-finals against Italy's Flavio Cobolli on Saturday morning, before returning to the court in the afternoon to beat Czech Tomas Machac in the final", summarizes the Swiss tournament website.
