ATP 500 Acapulco draw: Zverev to start against Arnaldi, the three Frenchmen also know their opponents
It's almost time for another week of tennis on the courts around the world. In Mexico, the ATP 500 Acapulco tournament hosts its annual event, which brings together some of the world's best players.
After playing the Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro tournaments on South American clay, Alexander Zverev will be in Mexico.
Seeded number 1, he will face Matteo Arnaldi in his opening match. Winner in 2021, the German will be looking to add a second title to his trophy cabinet in Acapulco.
Despite the absence of two-time title-holder Alex De Minaur, the field remains competitive, with the likes of Casper Ruud, who will take on France's Arthur Rinderknech, Holger Rune (who will play Roberto Carballes Baena) and Ben Shelton, who will face Flavio Cobolli.
In addition to Arthur Rinderknech, two other French players will be present. If he doesn't withdraw after playing in the final in Rio de Janeiro, Alexandre Muller will take on Frances Tiafoe. Benjamin Bonzi, meanwhile, has a first-round match against Brandon Nakashima to negotiate.
Shapovalov and Norrie and the two Czech players Mensik and Machac will also meet in interesting first-round matches.
