Ruusuvuori withdraws from Roland-Garros

This Thursday, the draw for Roland-Garros took place. The 128 players in the men's draw now know what their potential path in this 2025 edition might look like.
However, the Grand Slam organization has announced a new withdrawal among the men. After Matteo Berrettini, Kei Nishikori, David Goffin, Raphaël Collignon, Zhang Zhizhen, and Shang Juncheng, it's Emil Ruusuvuori's turn to withdraw.
The Finnish player, ranked 254th in the world, had published a letter to the ATP in recent days in which he discussed his mental health and negative thoughts that had significantly disrupted his career last year, after ending his season in July.
Returning in 2025, he was set to face Aleksandar Kovacevic in his opening match at Porte d'Auteuil but will ultimately be replaced by Federico Agustin Gomez, who was defeated in the final round of qualifying by Zeppieri. The winner of this match between Kovacevic and Zeppieri could meet Daniil Medvedev in the second round, if the Russian overcomes Cameron Norrie.
