Rybakina makes a successful debut in Dubai

Elena Rybakina made her WTA 1000 Dubai debut against Moyuka Uchijima, surprise first-round winner over Jelena Ostapenko.
The Kazakh didn't waver, winning 6-3, 6-2 in 1h06 of play. She conceded two break points, both of which she saved.

Her first serve was particularly effective, as she won 81% of the points behind her first serve.
In the quarter-finals, she will meet Paula Badosa, who beat Elise Mertens 6-2, 6-1.
