Rybakina parts ways with coach Sanguinetti to work exclusively with Vukov again

Elena Rybakina has been in good form in recent weeks. After a difficult start to the season both in terms of results and off-court issues, the Kazakh player has returned to a very high level and is once again performing consistently.
A semi-finalist in Montreal and Cincinnati, the world number 10 has not yet found stability in her coaching team this year. After a brief collaboration with Goran Ivanisevic, the 26-year-old player then hired Davide Sanguinetti starting in February.
However, the partnership between Rybakina and the Italian coach has already come to an end. Following the 2022 Wimbledon champion's defeat to Marketa Vondrousova in the round of 16 at the US Open, both parties decided to end their collaboration.
This news, reported in recent hours by the media outlet Spazio Tennis, is expected to allow Rybakina—who was ranked 7th in the Race standings before arriving in New York—to work exclusively with Stefano Vukov.
The Croatian coach, who had worked with his protégée from 2019 to 2024, was later suspended for one year by the WTA for "abuse of power and abusive behavior" before the sanction was ultimately overturned on appeal in August.
Immediately after this announcement, the 38-year-old Vukov was spotted in the player's camp during the North American tour. Accused of harassment and psychological abuse toward Rybakina last year, Vukov is now expected to be the sole coach for the Moscow native in the coming weeks.
When questioned about this recently, the player herself denied rumors of disrespectful behavior by the Croatian toward her: "With Stefano, I never had any problems.
It's really nice to have him back by my side. We have excellent communication, we never had any issues, so everything is fine," she stated during the US Open in recent days.
