After the crowning of the pair Dabrowski/Routliffe in women's doubles and the qualifications of Sinner and Alcaraz for the men's singles final, it's time for the equally enticing schedule this Saturday, September 6 at Flushing Meadows.

Kicking off the day at noon (6 PM French time) on Arthur Ashe Court, the men's doubles final will take place, featuring the pairs Marcel Granollers/Horacio Zeballos (seeded number 5) against Joe Salisbury/Neal Skupski (seeded number 6).

Publicité

This is a rematch of the Roland-Garros final, where the two duos had already faced off for the title. Back then, the Spaniard and the Argentine triumphed (6-0, 6-7, 7-5). Following that, no earlier than 4 PM (10 PM in France), the women's singles final will be held between defending champion Aryna Sabalenka and Amanda Anisimova.

The world number 1 is aiming for a second consecutive title in New York, while the American is seeking her first Grand Slam title. After falling short in her Wimbledon final against Swiatek, the player who will be ranked world number 4 next Monday will want to confirm her success against Sabalenka from the semifinals in London. In head-to-head matchups, the 24-year-old Anisimova leads with 6 wins to 3.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

How about leavin...

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.

As a long time player and lover of this game , I don't know how much of this I can tolerate. For example I waited hours last night for you to confirm my win and post my points. Every ot...

This week I have used all my formulas and best guesses to try to achieve the high score jimandlori958 set in our last competition. I am two games short because of cancelations and I need all wins to get there.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Grenier and Hsu at the Kobe tournament? The match was played to completion and on time.

Grenier def Ysu 6-2 , 6-2 at Kobe today and the TT canceled the match.

An impressive win.. Congrats to our winner this week, jimandlori958 and with a score that could not be caught or matched. I don't remember a 56 in a while with our group. Nice to see everyone using the 2 point predictions. Can't win without 'em.
