Sabalenka, Crowned at the US Open, Receives the Largest Check in Women's Tennis History

The US Open had announced record-breaking prize money amounts for the winners several weeks before the event began.

By raising her arms in victory for the second consecutive year on Arthur Ashe Court, Aryna Sabalenka received the handsome sum of $5 million (approximately €4.2 million).

This is the highest amount ever received by a female player in the history of tennis.

The player in question reacted with humor upon receiving her check from the organizers (see video below).
