Sabalenka: "Since I won my first Grand Slam, I’ve become a different person"
Aryna Sabalenka claimed the WTA 1000 Miami title by defeating Jessica Pegula in the final.
During the post-match press conference, the Belarusian spoke about her emotional management and how she handles it.
"I’ve been through too many tough situations in my life to act like a child on a tennis court just because things aren’t going my way.
Now, I send myself positive messages. Since I won my first Grand Slam in Australia, I’ve become a different person and a different player.
I’ve realized a lot of things, and it’s also helped me to look at pictures of my achievements when I’m sad and write down my life goals when I’m angry.
All of this helps me organize my thoughts and makes me aware of how lucky I am."
