Shapovalov wins the biggest title of his career in Dallas!

Denis Shapovalov rounded off his fine week in Dallas with a 7-6, 6-3 victory over Casper Ruud in the final.

The Canadian, who impressed with his level of play throughout the week by successively eliminating Miomir Kecmanovic, Taylor Fritz, Tomas Machac and Tommy Paul, continued his momentum in the final against the world No. 5.

Shapovalov relied on an efficient serve (13 aces, 81% of points won behind his first serve) and erased the only break point he had to save.

Now back to the level of his best years, he wasted no time in concluding the match on his first match point with a winning smash.

Thanks to this title, the fourth of his career, the Canadian will climb back up the ATP rankings to 32nd in the world tomorrow.
