Sinner, doubles winner with Berrettini: "Matteo played incredibly well".
Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini won the decisive doubles match in the Davis Cup quarter-final against Argentina.
A partnership between the two men that nobody had seen coming, since they hadn't played doubles together since 2022 at the ATP Cup.
During his post-match interview on court, the world No.1 was keen to praise Berrettini's performance, who proved to be very solid despite a tricky start to the match: "Matteo played incredibly well today. He supported me.
I'm very happy with his performance and mine.
I know he's working very hard to get back to his best. He's had a lot of difficult moments in his career.
In this competition, we're good friends. I'm very happy to be playing doubles with him. We're trying to make our country happy by being here on the court."
