Sinner Matches Agassi in Consecutive Weeks as World No. 1
Jannik Sinner will play his Roland-Garros quarterfinal tonight against Andrey Rublev.
Meanwhile, the Italian has just secured another week at the top of men's tennis. This marks Sinner's 52nd consecutive week as world No. 1, a position he officially reached on June 10, 2024.
With this, he ties Andre Agassi and edges closer to Rafael Nadal's 56 consecutive weeks.
As noted by the ATP, the San Candido native has joined Federer, Connors, Hewitt, and Djokovic among players (since the ATP rankings began in 1973) to spend a full year as No. 1 during their first stint at the top of the rankings.
