Sinner on expectations for his return: "The first matches will be very difficult"
Jannik Sinner is just two weeks away from his return to competition. The world No. 1 will have the chance to make his comeback at the Rome Masters 1000, in front of a crowd that will undoubtedly support him.
In comments reported by Tennis.com, the Italian remained cautious about his ambitions:
"Now that we're less than a month away, I'm training extremely hard. I hope to regain some momentum before this clay season. It won’t be easy. The first matches will be very difficult."
Sinner also reflected on his break from professional tennis, which allowed him to recharge:
"At the start of the three-month period, it was nice. Having some time away from the routine, spending time with family and friends… I did new things and got to know myself better. I think it helped me a lot."
