Sinner Overpowers Lehecka and Advances to Roland-Garros Round of 16

Sinner faced Lehecka in the third round of Roland-Garros on Court Suzanne-Lenglen.
After defeating Gasquet (6-3, 6-0, 6-4), Sinner made quick work of his opponent of the day (6-0, 6-1, 6-2) in just 1 hour and 34 minutes to secure his spot in the round of 16 at Porte d’Auteuil. The Czech player was completely outmatched in this encounter, overwhelmed by the world No. 1’s 30 winners and 6 bagel sets. Impressive on serve, Sinner conceded only 9 points against the 34th-ranked player.
Winner of the Australian Open, Sinner had not stepped onto a tennis court for three months until his return in Rome, where he reached the final (losing to Alcaraz, 7-6, 6-1). He now secures another round of 16 in Paris and will face Rublev, a player he has beaten six times. This also marks his 29th win in his last 30 matches.
A semifinalist last year, he fell to his Spanish rival Alcaraz in a hard-fought five-set match. Since then, he has won six out of 10 tournaments played, not including the Davis Cup.
