Sinner: "Playing Medvedev is a big challenge".

Jannik Sinner takes on Daniil Medvedev this Wednesday in the quarter-finals of the US Open 2024. The world No.1 is the overwhelming favourite for the title after the elimination of Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev. But he knows that his task is not going to be easy, starting with the big battle that awaits him against the Russian.
Jannick Sinner: "Playing Daniil (Medvedev) is a very tough challenge. But I like a challenge. I'll have to see what I'm capable of in the next match. I also think I've already beaten a very strong player in the last 16 (Tommy Paul).
Obviously, the next match (against Medvedev) will be a bit different. We know each other a little better, and he's very strong mentally, but also tactically.
So we'll see how he plays and how I play. Hopefully, we'll have a good match."
