Stats - Sinner, 9th player with the highest win rate in history (Open era)
Jannik Sinner's season has been monumental. Losing only 6 times since January, he has won 9 titles, played in 10 finals and established himself as the obvious, untouchable world No.1. Disgusting most of his opponents, the Italian looks set to establish his dominance and, with the exception of Carlos Alcaraz, nobody seems able to stop him.
One statistic in particular gives us an idea of the extent of the world number 1's domination, but also of the historic nature of his 2024 season. With 73 wins and 6 losses, Sinner ended the year with a winning percentage of 92.41%.
This is quite simply the 9th-best record in the history of tennis since the start of the Open era. Even more strikingly, Rafael Nadal has never achieved such a percentage, his personal record standing at 91.46% (75 wins for 7 losses in 2013).
