Mirra Andreeva, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Madison Keys secured their spots in the round of 16 this Saturday.

These qualifications confirmed that all eight top seeds in the women's draw advanced to the second week of the tournament, a feat not seen at Roland-Garros since 2003.

The statistic becomes even more striking when extended to all four Grand Slam tournaments, as this is only the fifth time in the Open Era that this scenario has occurred. The 2005 Australian Open was the last major where all eight top seeds reached the round of 16.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
