Stephens Wins Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award

This Wednesday marked the ESPY Awards, an event created by ESPN to honor individual and team athletic achievements.
Sloane Stephens was awarded the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award, a trophy given to athletes who have made a humanitarian impact through sports.
The American player runs a foundation called the Sloane Stephens Foundation, which aims to encourage and develop sports participation in underprivileged communities.
During her speech, as reported by Tennis Actu, she stated: "This is bigger than sports. It’s about showing kids all across the country that they matter, that they have the right to dream, and that their voices deserve to be heard."
Stephens has not been seen on the court since her first-round loss in Merida in February 2025, due to a foot injury.
