Jasmine Paolini was one of the great revelations of the 2024 season.
The 28-year-old Italian player won her first Masters 1000 in Dubai and reached her first two Grand Slam finals, at Roland Garros and then Wimbledon.
These results enabled her to compete in the WTA Finals in Riyadh at the beginning of November and climb to world No. 4.
Doubles specialist Rennae Stubbs praised Paolini in her podcast and hopes she'll keep up the good work in 2025.
"I think she understands very well that she has about three or four years to really take advantage of her age and experience.
It then becomes more difficult as the years go by. Right now, she's the perfect age, 28.
She's in her prime. I think she'll certainly be in the top 10 all next year, she's really a complete player.
She can go to the net because she's comfortable on the volley. She wants to get ahead and has no weaknesses. There's no weakness in her game.
Paolini doesn't get free points with her serve, but her second serve isn't attackable.
I think the only thing that could stop her is if she had to face someone who dominates her physically. But I see her very well on clay and there's no surface she doesn't feel comfortable on."
