Swiatek Discusses WTA's Assistance: "A Fan Tried to Disturb Me"
Currently in Stuttgart to compete in the WTA 500 tournament, Iga Swiatek will aim to improve on her 2024 performance, where she reached the semifinals.
Recently, the world No. 2 opened up about the intense pressure and criticism she faced following her past performances. But that’s not all—the Polish player revealed that the WTA had to step in to help her with an issue involving a fan:
"It wasn’t a very serious matter, but there was a fan who tried to disturb me. The WTA protected me, and now I’m trying to focus on the fans who support me.
I’m glad there’s someone who supports us and helps us handle these situations, just as I’m happy my team is there for me."
For her opening match in Germany, she will face the winner of the match between Vekic and Fett.
