Swiatek, First Player in the Open Era to Deliver a 6-0 in Both Semifinal and Final of a Grand Slam
The first set turned into a disaster for Anisimova in this 2025 Wimbledon final. After just 25 minutes of play, she suffered a brutal 6-0 defeat at the hands of an in-form Swiatek.
Already impressive in her previous match against Bencic (6-2, 6-0), the Polish player became the first in the Open Era to deliver a 6-0 to her opponent in both the semifinal and final of a Grand Slam tournament. This also marks her 106th set won with this scoreline, her 31st in a Major.
Additionally, spectators had not witnessed a 6-0 in the first set of a women's final at Wimbledon since 1983.
