For the sixth time in six meetings, Iga Swiatek fell to Jelena Ostapenko. This time on clay, a surface where she has dominated the competition for several seasons.

The Polish player, who hasn’t shown a high level of confidence this year, believes she had her chances this Saturday to overcome her nemesis:

"Did I step onto the court irritated? It was a tight match, and I had my opportunities. In previous matches, I couldn’t do anything because she went for every shot and took big risks.

This time, I felt that at times I was the one controlling the match. But I lost intensity in the third set, and that was fatal."

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
