Tabilo also masters the turf and breaks into the Top 20 in Majorca!
What a season for Alejandro Tabilo! Back in the Top 100 of the ATP rankings last November, after spending 8 months there in 2022, the Chilean has been on a roll ever since. And the change of surface doesn't seem to be a problem for the native of Toronto (Canada).
He won his first ATP title in Auckland, on hard court, in January. He then went on to shine on clay, reaching the semi-finals of the Rome Masters 1000. And now he's just as effective on grass.
On Saturday, Tabilo won the Mallorca Championships 2024. After upsetting Gael Monfils in the semi-finals on Friday (2-6, 6-2, 7-6), he confirmed his success in the final. There, he clearly dominated Austrian Sebastian Ofner in just over an hour and two sets (6-3, 6-4).
At the age of 27, he thus clinches his 2nd ATP title, and on Monday enters the world's Top 20.
