"That's what people did to Serena Williams," Saville criticizes the press about Djokovic's future

In an interview shared by Tennis Up To Date, former Australian player Daria Saville discussed the media coverage of Djokovic. According to her, the Serbian is experiencing exactly the same thing that Serena Williams did when she was nearing the end of her career:

"It's quite difficult to go to every press conference and hear people asking him the same questions. How much longer? How much longer? That's what people did to Serena Williams. What's funny as a player is that I don't think you really know yourself.

I have a feeling he'll be around, but I don't think he wants to leave like that. I don't think he knows where his body is at. He's not sure, but I don't think he's there yet. It would be difficult to know, how on earth do you retire? My favorite retirement was Ash Barty's, that was pretty cool."

While the Grand Slam record holder has mentioned the possibility of never returning to Roland Garros, the player seems motivated to pursue a 25th major at Wimbledon, a tournament he has won seven times.
