The bad run continues for Mannarino, beaten from the start at the Quimper Challenger
Adrian Mannarino was seeded n°1 at the Challenger de Quimper tournament, which he also won in 2017.
With just one win to his name since the start of the 2025 season, the Frenchman wasn't arriving in Brittany with much confidence, and he inherited a tricky draw when he faced Mackenzie McDonald in the 1st round.
Despite winning the first set, Mannarino fell back into his old ways and finally lost in three sets (3-6, 6-4, 6-4) in two and a half hours of play.
This defeat, Mannarino's fifth of the season, should see him drop out of the Top 110 next Monday.
McDonald will face Sascha Gueymard Wayenburg for a place in the quarter-finals in Quimper.
