The exchange between Alcaraz and Zverev in the corridors of Rome: "Why are you here so early?"
Carlos Alcaraz will play his third-round match at the Rome Masters 1000 tonight against Laslo Djere. But the world No. 3 had other priorities during the day, including his intention to watch the football match between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona this Sunday.
Spotted by Alexander Zverev in the corridors of the Foro Italico, the German asked him why he was at the venue so early, given that Alcaraz's match is scheduled last on the center court.
Zverev calling out to Alcaraz: "Why are you here so early?"
Alcaraz: "There's Real Madrid vs. Barça at 4:15 PM."
Zverev: "But they're not playing here, are they?"
Alcaraz: "No, but I have to watch it."
Zverev: "You also have to train... Nine hours before the match."
Alcaraz: "I'm training now so I can watch the football in peace. You get it?"
Zverev: "Very professional."
