The Jacquemot-Sakkari match, interrupted by rain in Guadalajara, will resume this Tuesday

On Monday, the first match of the evening session scheduled for the WTA 500 tournament in Guadalajara featured Elsa Jacquemot against Maria Sakkari, as part of a first-round lineup.
After the French player's victory against the Greek in the first round at Roland-Garros, the 22-year-old, who reached a career-high ranking of world No. 83 this week, aimed to confirm her form on hard court in Mexico.
After a very strong start to the match, Jacquemot pulled ahead to lead 4-1 with a double break in the first set, but the match was then interrupted by rain and did not resume.
Therefore, the duel between the two players will resume early Tuesday, in the second rotation on the Estadio Akron, following the match between Tatjana Maria and Zeynep Sönmez.
The other match scheduled for Monday evening, namely Martina Trevisan vs. Rebecca Marino, will ultimately take place on the Grandstand after the match between Polina Kudermetova and Marina Stakusic.
