"The match was very tight in both sets," noted Arango after her victory against Jacquemot

Emiliana Arango, the 24-year-old Colombian, once again shone in Mexico by qualifying for the final of the WTA 500 in Guadalajara. After defeating Elsa Jacquemot in a hard-fought match, she is preparing to face the young talent Iva Jovic in the final.
Arango loves Mexico. Just a few months after reaching the first final of her career at the WTA 500 in Mérida, the 24-year-old Colombian repeated her success in the North American country and qualified for the final of the WTA 500 in Guadalajara.
In the semifinals, she ended Elsa Jacquemot's run (6-4, 7-5) after a closely contested match. The world No. 86, who will be close to the top 50 after the tournament, reflected on the match against the French player before discussing her opponent in the final.
"I think the match was very tight in both sets, very balanced. My team and I celebrated this qualification for another final in Mexico—it took a lot of hard work.
I can’t say I’ll approach the final with more experience; Iva (Jovic) is only 17, but she’s playing at a very high level. She’s in the semifinals of a WTA 500, and she’ll have nothing to lose.
It will be a very tough match. If you look, Iva has a better ranking than me (Jovic is No. 73), but I’ll give it my all," Arango assured the media at the Guadalajara tournament.
