"The nightmare begins again," says Naldi, former physio for Sinner
Giacomo Naldi, former physiotherapist for Jannik Sinner, has reacted to the return of Umberto Ferrara, the fitness coach, to Jannik Sinner's team.
In the doping case involving the world No. 1, Ferrara had shifted the blame onto Naldi, even though the disputed substance belonged to Ferrara.
Ferrara allegedly lent this product to Naldi to treat a cut that wasn’t healing, which then came into contact with Sinner.
Naldi stated: "The nightmare begins again, just like last summer. I won’t comment. This story made me too angry and tarnished my reputation. When the time comes, we’ll discuss it calmly. I don’t want to ruin these holidays."
Naldi had been fired by Sinner when the doping case came to light.
