Starting this Wednesday, July 16, the Hopman Cup exhibition kicks off in Bari, Italy. Six countries are participating in this 2025 edition, including France. However, fans will have to wait a little longer to see the French players in action. Host nation Italy will open the tournament against Croatia.

At 5:30 PM this Wednesday, Lucia Bronzetti will face Donna Vekic. Shortly after, Flavio Cobolli will take on Duje Ajdukovic. The day’s program will conclude with a doubles match between the pairs Bronzetti/Cobolli and Vekic/Ajdukovic.

On Thursday, July 17, two matches will take place. On the Center Court, Greece will challenge Spain with singles matches featuring Despina Papamichail against Marina Bassols and Stefanos Tsitsipas against Roberto Bautista Agut. The doubles match between Papamichail/Tsitsipas and Bassols/Bautista Agut may ultimately decide the winner between the two nations.

On Court 1 the same day, France will make their debut against Croatia. Chloé Paquet will play against Donna Vekic, followed by Richard Gasquet—who is temporarily coming out of retirement for this competition—facing Duje Ajdukovic. Paquet and Gasquet will then team up in doubles against Vekic and Ajdukovic.

On Friday, France will play their second and final group match against Italy. Paquet vs. Bronzetti, Gasquet vs. Cobolli, and Paquet/Gasquet vs. Bronzetti/Cobolli will be featured on the Center Court. Meanwhile, on Court 1, Canada will make their debut against Spain.

Bianca Andreescu will take on Marina Bassols, while Félix Auger-Aliassime will face Roberto Bautista Agut. A doubles match between these four players will follow. Finally, the group stage will conclude on Saturday, July 19, with Greece taking on Canada.

Papamichail vs. Andreescu and Auger-Aliassime vs. Tsitsipas will be on the schedule before the doubles match. The two teams that finish at the top of their respective groups on Saturday evening will advance to the grand final on Sunday, July 20.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
