The tsunami is bound to come," Noah discusses Boisson's post-tournament future

Yannick Noah was in the capital to attend Roland-Garros. Speaking to Eurosport, the former player reflected on the incredible journey of his compatriot Loïs Boisson:
"It's a marvelous run. The message she sends is that anything is possible. In a career, everyone lives their own adventure. But when you follow Loïs' journey, it can only inspire you. It’s motivating, it makes you want to play. You tell yourself that you can be at your lowest, but at some point, through hard work...
Her story moves me. I didn’t know her at all, but during the tournament, I came across a documentary about her journey, and it touched me. I realized she’s come from really far. It’s a team effort—what they’re doing is wonderful."
The 65-year-old also spoke about the post-tournament phase for the French player, having experienced his own media whirlwind after his 1983 triumph:
"The tsunami is bound to come. People will recognize her in everyday life, but I got the sense she’s already being supported, that she’s already working on it. She wouldn’t have gotten this far without that. When you see her calmness between points, her clarity amid the hype, it’s definitely the result of preparation. I’m sure it will continue this way. She’s going to be around for a while.
