The unreal angle by Federer: that crosscourt backhand return that stunned Paris-Bercy in 2018
During his last appearance at the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 in 2018, Roger Federer once again delighted the Parisian crowd with his elegance and tennis genius.
One moment in particular stands out: that lightning-fast crosscourt backhand return that left Fabio Fognini with no answer in the third round (see video below).
After winning the match 6-4, 6-3, the Swiss continued his run to the semi-finals, where he was defeated after an epic duel against Novak Djokovic (7-6, 5-7, 7-6).
In 26 appearances at the Paris tournament, Federer has only lifted the trophy once, in 2011.
