Following the Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek doping cases, the World Anti-Doping Agency has decided to modify its regulations. According to Ubitennis, these changes will come into force on January 1, 2027.
They aim to better manage "involuntary doping cases", situations where players ingest banned substances unintentionally.
These changes do not affect Sinner's situation, as he will have to wait two years for them to come into force. The Italian still has to explain himself to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and await its decision.
