"The worst is definitely behind us," Musetti's coach reveals the Italian's goals

Registered for Washington, Musetti will play his first hard-court tournament since the end of the grass season. Like all players at this time, he has the US Open in his sights (August 24 to September 7). Eliminated in the first round at Wimbledon, the player was physically diminished and has not played since.
Questioned by *Tuttosport* on the matter, the Italian's coach revisited the difficulties Musetti faced during that period. He also took the opportunity to outline his pupil's upcoming goals.
"We hope he can qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin. Currently, he is sixth in the Race (7th in the official rankings). The path is long and difficult. In recent months, due to the many tournaments, he has lost points to his direct competitors. But the worst now seems to be over and is definitely behind us."
For reference, Musetti withdrew from the Los Cabos tournament and traveled directly to the U.S. capital. This will mark his first participation in the ATP 500 in Washington.
