They will face each other at least fifteen times in Grand Slam finals, the words of Wilander before the clash between Alcaraz and Sinner

Consultant for Eurosport, former champion Mats Wilander spoke ahead of the new final between Sinner and Alcaraz (US Open). According to him, the two have already set the bar very high with their last duel at Roland-Garros.

"It's not boring, because every time Sinner and Alcaraz face each other in a final, I expect something very special. They are both complete, which is why they are so far ahead of everyone else. If we look back, for a while, Medvedev was the best on hard courts.

However, if you compare his pace to Sinner's, you can see a big difference. The Italian doesn't wait, he attacks the ball and puts his opponents under pressure. The same goes for Alcaraz. While players like Tsitsipas, Zverev, or Medvedev have a more waiting game.

In terms of gameplay, tennis has never been played at a higher level than what we saw in the Roland-Garros final. That match put pressure on both of them.

It's the kind of match they will need to become bigger than Federer and Nadal. Will they be able to dominate and always reach the final as they did at Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open? Yes, I think they will face each other at least fifteen times in Grand Slam finals. Right now, they are much better than everyone else.
