This defeat at Wimbledon was good for him," says Haas about Zverev

Alexander Zverev has once again disappointed in a Grand Slam, losing in the first round at Wimbledon to Alexander Rinderknech.
For Tommy Haas, this loss is not inevitable since Wimbledon is the Grand Slam where he performs the least.
Speaking to Eurosport Germany, he said: "I think this was the first time in a long while that he lost so early in a Grand Slam. Wimbledon isn’t his strongest surface anyway.
Maybe that will change. This defeat was beneficial for him, so now he has time to reflect and try for a fresh start before moving on to the hardcourt part of the season, where he plays his best tennis.
Perhaps he’ll be even hungrier for victory at the US Open. He’s still world number three. Two or three other players are the absolute favorites in every major tournament.
Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and even Novak Djokovic can’t be ruled out. But with everything he has, Alexander is very, very hard to beat if he plays his usual game, and he’s been doing that for many years.
