The round of 16 match between Sinner and Dimitrov did not end as hoped. Leading 2 sets to 0, the Bulgarian unfortunately had to retire, visibly injured in the right pectoral.
This situation has sparked significant reactions on social networks, notably from Australian Kokkinakis. He posted a message on his X account stating:
"Oh no… This thing ruined my life for 5 years. He needs to take the time to do things right…"
As a reminder, the player hasn't played since the Australian Open and had to undergo surgery following a pectoral injury. At the time, he said: "I have been struggling with this for a while... It's probably my toughest challenge to date.
