Tsitsipas before his match against Fils: "I would like to change some things"
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Arthur Fils will face off this Friday in the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 in Barcelona.
The Frenchman leads their head-to-head 2-0. Speaking at a press conference after his victory over Sebastian Korda, Tsitsipas shared his thoughts and expectations for the upcoming quarterfinal.
"I haven’t played enough yet to claim I’m the favorite for Barcelona. And today, I didn’t show the level of tennis required to rank among the top two or three for now.
I think the way to prove it is by playing better in the next match.
I believe Fils is a tough opponent, very resilient. I’ve played him before, always unsuccessfully. I’d like to change some things.
I’d like to give myself more chances this time. To do that, I’ll try to stay closer to him and not let him hurt me too much."
