Tsitsipas in Dubai Semifinals: "It's an Important Step in My Year Start"

Stefanos Tsitsipas qualified for the semifinals of the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai by defeating Matteo Berrettini in a closely contested match.
It's his first semifinal since July 2024 in Gstaad, where he was defeated by the same Berrettini.
Speaking at a press conference, the Greek player expressed great satisfaction: "It's an important step in my year start.
It's a great feeling to reach this far in the tournament again.
It makes me smile to know that I've played good tennis so far to reach the semifinals of one of the most important ATP 500 tournaments.
It was a tough match, with many ups and downs.
I felt like I put in a big effort in the first set to finally win it, but I didn't play well in the second, and the way I managed things was rather poor.
It's a bit confusing to have won this match in the end because I felt like I was going through mental battles during the match."
Tsitsipas will face Tallon Griekspoor this Friday for a place in the final.
