Tsitsipas to Play in Winston-Salem Just Before the US Open
Stefanos Tsitsipas hopes to begin a comeback during this North American tour with the return of his father as his coach.
Committed to playing in Cincinnati, where he will start against Fabian Marozsan or Colton Smith, the Greek player has decided to compete in another preparation tournament just before the US Open.
The organizers of the ATP 250 in Winston-Salem (August 17-23) have granted him a wild card. Tsitsipas had initially planned to play mixed doubles at the US Open during the same dates, but his split with Paula Badosa led to his withdrawal from the event.
So, it will be in North Carolina that the current world No. 30 will try to regain confidence before taking part in the final Grand Slam of the season.
