Tsitsipas withdraws from Hamburg tournament
After reaching the quarterfinals in Monte-Carlo and Barcelona, Stefanos Tsitsipas did not have a convincing run in Madrid and Rome, being eliminated each time in the third round.
Initially announced for the ATP 500 in Hamburg, which takes place next week, the Greek player, currently ranked 19th in the world, ultimately chose to withdraw from the event. Roberto Bautista-Agut takes advantage of this to enter the main draw.
Tsitsipas notably reached the final of the tournament in 2020, losing to Andrey Rublev. This withdrawal will allow him to prepare for Roland-Garros, where he was eliminated in the quarterfinals last year by Carlos Alcaraz.
