Two-time title-holder Fritz falls in the quarter-finals at Delray Beach

A surprise at the Delray Beach tournament. World number 4, number 1 seed in Florida and current double title-holder, Taylor Fritz fell at the quarter-final stage.
After a successful opening match against Bu Yunchaokete (7-6, 6-2), the American was up against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina for a place in the last four.
Despite 13 aces, Fritz wasn't serene on break points, where the Spaniard was devilishly efficient (3 break points converted out of 3).
Already beaten in his second match in Dallas last week by eventual winner Denis Shapovalov, Fritz lost in two tie-breaks (7-6, 7-6), confirming his recent difficulties.
The American, a finalist at the last US Open, didn't particularly shine at the Australian Open either, with a premature elimination in the third round against Gaël Monfils.
Davidovich Fokina, meanwhile, will be up against Matteo Arnaldi, who defeated Learner Tien, for a place in the final. The two men have already met in Dallas in recent days, in a match won in two sets by the Italian.
The other semi-final will pit Miomir Kecmanovic (who beat Marcos Giron) against Alex Michelsen (who came from behind to defeat Cameron Norrie).
