Vallverdu on the Djokovic-Murray collaboration: "I think their association will be fruitful".
In a few days' time, the tennis world will be closely watching Novak Djokovic's return to competition at the Brisbane tournament.
In singles, on the one hand, but also in doubles, as the Serb will be partnered by Nick Kyrgios. In any case, his new coach, Andy Murray, will be working with Djokovic at least until the Australian Open in mid-January.
The news was confirmed by the man who has won 24 Grand Slam titles on his social networks at the end of November.
Grigor Dimitrov's coach, Daniel Vallverdu, knows Andy Murray well and is delighted to see such an association between two great champions.
"Andy will bring real tactical knowledge to Novak, he has a real tennis IQ. Andy and Novak are probably, in my opinion, the two players with the greatest tennis IQ, they have a brilliant mind at this level.
From my point of view, I can't wait to see the result and I really want to see how they build and develop their relationship.
Of course, we can't predict the results they'll have, but I think their association will be fruitful, with a good coach-player relationship.
I expect Novak to have an incredible season. Andy will bring something to him. They can tell themselves that they're one of the older guys and that they're going to have to face a younger generation with all their knowledge.
And to know both players, they'll be giving their all to try and achieve the goals set by Novak. It's going to be special to watch and I'm looking forward to it all," the Spaniard elaborated for The National.
