There'll be a Frenchman in the semi-finals of the Masters Next Gen. Luca Van Assche's courageous victory over Nishesh Basavareddy (3-4, 4-3, 4-2, 4-2) has taken him through to the semi-finals.

Initially dominated, the Frenchman managed to hold off a hard-fought second act before raising his game to win in 2 hours.

For a place in the final, he will face the tournament's sensation, young Brazilian prodigy Joao Fonseca, who is already assured of finishing top of his group.
