Video - De Minaur injured on match point against Fils?
A very strange scene on the last point of the match between Alex De Minaur and Arthur Fils in the last 16 of Wimbledon (6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3). The Australian seemed to have injured himself, perhaps his back, on his very last shot, an extension volley (see video below) to end the match.
He then looked very worried, not celebrating his victory, and exchanging signs with his team that seemed to signify a serious injury. To be confirmed in the minutes or hours ahead.
Before leaving the court, in his post-match interview, De Minaur was reassuring about his ability to play his next match, without clearly mentioning his injury: "I'll be fine, I'll find a way. [...] One thing you can count on is that I'm going to try my best and play my best."
