Video - Garcia's Emotion Before Her Match Against Pera at Roland-Garros

This 2025 Roland-Garros promises beautiful emotions, both on and off the courts. A few days before the start of this edition, Caroline Garcia announced that she would play her last tournament at Porte d'Auteuil before retiring in the coming weeks.
While waiting to see what the future holds in the upcoming months, the French player played her first-round match this Monday on Court Suzanne-Lenglen against Bernarda Pera. Just before stepping onto the court, the 31-year-old player, a former world number 4, could not hold back her emotion.
A quarterfinalist in 2017, Garcia did not hold back her tears and entered the court to the applause of the spectators (see video below). Having dropped to the 144th place in the world after Miami, Garcia hopes to shine one last time in front of her audience.
