Video - Kudermetova Refuses to Shake Hands with Jimenez Kasintseva in Guadalajara

In a match for the round of 16 at the WTA 500 in Guadalajara, Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva dominated Veronika Kudermetova in two sets, securing her spot in the quarterfinals. Despite this victory being a major milestone in the young Andorran player's career, Kudermetova's attitude drew attention after the match.
On Thursday, Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva achieved her first career win against a top 50 player on the main tour. Facing Veronika Kudermetova, ranked 26th in the world, the Andorran player won in straight sets (6-4, 6-2).
This victory earned her a quarterfinal match against Iva Jovic at the WTA 500 tournament in Guadalajara. However, after match point, Kudermetova did not shake her opponent's hand and immediately headed to her bags to leave the court (see video below).
At 20 years old, Jimenez Kasintseva was born to an Andorran father and a Russian mother, and no incidents between the two players were noted during the match. The event did not prevent the world number 123 from celebrating her prestigious win.
